Grassroots Empowerment

Strategic National believes it is a core value to equip and empower.  In that sense, we are the first "open source" political firm in the nation.

The Republican Party has a history of nominating “the next in line”.  This is not always the person who best represents the establishment. As the Tea Party movement proved to those who had been willfully blind to the power of the grassroots, you can only keep the base down for so long. We take pride in having supported Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell, Scott Brown, Rick Snyder, and John McCain when the establishment had left them all for dead.

There is a singular upside to Barack Obama’s election: the enactment of an agenda of massive government intrusion has engaged the grassroots. As elections across the country have already shown, conservatives are awake and aren’t going away anytime soon. 

Fiscal Responsibility

Strategic National believes that fiscal responsibility, both to and for our clients, is the basis for any long term relationship.

The most basic principle that unites the base of our Republican Party is fiscal responsibility. Congress and the Presidents (Republicans included) have colluded for too long to keep government on a path of unsustainable growth. As government grows, the casualties include not only our hard earned money, but also those liberties that we hold dear.

Republicans have started doing more than giving lip service to lowering the federal deficit again and we must ensure that those who are elected under the banner of Conservatism stay true to that cause. 

Liberty

Strategic National promotes liberty, both externally through our client base, and internally to our staff and strategic partners.  Liberty is the soil in which human potential grows, and must be defended and guarded at all costs.

It seems impossible to locate a single agenda item of the Democrats that expands liberty.  The freedoms that our forefathers endorsed, and gave their lives to defend require the full measure of our effort to defend in this generation. All Conservatives should aggressively point out that the most basic difference between those in power now and those rallying across the country are that in only two years the Democrats nationalized the entire medical industry, multiple automobile companies, and the student loan system in this country.

If and when Republicans take back control of government, the first goal should be to unravel these latest encroachments on our freedom and to create an environment where everyone has a chance to succeed instead of a chance to collect an unemployment check.

Honesty

Honesty and transparency drive our firm, and all our decisions.  We expect the same of our clients.

Right now there is a crisis of confidence in our leaders. Congress hasn’t had a sustained positive rating in decades because both parties have a history of electing leaders who talk out of one side of their mouth to their constituents while using the other side of their mouth to broker deals with other Washington elites.  Even one member of Congress who would sell out their constituents is one to many.  What this country needs now is an emboldened Republican majority that will be held accountable to and by those who elected them. With a historic amount of information being disseminated over cable networks, newspapers, books and blogs voters should be more informed about an officials’ record than ever before. 

We believe our role in a campaign is to direct our clients to an open and honest conversation with the American public.
