John Yob attended the University of Michigan where he was inspired by his father’s race for RNC Chairman and read the book ‘Bad Boy’, the autobiography of Lee Atwater, on the campaign trail.

John started Strategic National as a political polling and telephone persuasion company in the late 1990’s with the use of Computer and Telephony Integration (CATI) to better understand the grassroots base of the party and convention process. They understood that longtime political officials throughout the state had wielded their influence to ignore the grassroots; they discovered that by finding the right candidates and directly rallying the support of delegates rather than powerbrokers, the people could take the party back.
